I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in May 2018
Interview
The usual: meet with SRE team tech leads, peer managers, Hiring Director. I had 7 interview blocks, 45 minutes each, all 1:1's in a conference room. They had just moved into their new building, so I was given a tour. It was nice. The interviewers had assigned modules, but many were OK deviating from their modules to dig into what they wanted, hence many duplicate questions.

Question 1
How do you build a diverse team. (Most interviewers focussed on this)
Tell me a time you had a challenging interaction with a manager from a different team. (asked multiple ways by multiple people, but basically the same question/answer. Prepare multiple answers.)
Tell me a time when you had a challenging employee interaction (same as last question, have multiple scenarios for the same question).
Whiteboard a system you worked on, in as much detail as you can.
What would you say are your strengths and weaknesses.
What would your reports say is your management style.
The process was pretty straightforward. There were three stages First, an interview with HR . Next, the interview with the hiring manager. Finally, an interview with the rest of the team.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (New York, NY) in Jan 2018
Interview
One of the best interview process. Focussed more on the candidate and the ability of the candidate in learning new skills and be a leader rather than asking a bunch of questions from the pre-defined list. The interview process was pretty quick, took around 3-4 weeks(HM was OOO for a week). The recruiters were super nice and guided me well all along the process.
