I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Slack
Interview
The recruiter, let scheduled calls drop without calling me. We rescheduled a few times, but he still would let them drop. Eventually, he didn't even reply to my polite request to find out what happened.
I already had offers and unfortunately couldn't wait for him to get it together.
I've never experienced such disorganization and lack of communication. I can only imagine the sort of disarray inside the company.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Half hour phone interview with recruiter, followed by a half hour phone interview with hiring manager. Called in for 1.5 hour onsite interview which consisted of 3 half hour meetings. Called back for mock presentation for 1 hour with 3 people.
Group was very professional and respectful. I especially appreciated the breakout of the onsite sessions so that they could be attended over a lunch break rather than taking a full day off my current job.
I applied online. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2016
