I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Stake (Sydney) in Jul 2025
Interview
Their talent team conducted an initial call with me, asked about my background and previous experience and organised an "tech" interview with a Head Engineer and an Engineering Manager,
In the "tech" interview, they didn't ask me any technical question at all but the same questions that the recruiter had already asked me as if they didn't get the briefing from their own recruiter nor had my resume in front them. I didn't know if I should say something differently from what I'd already said to their recruiter or repeat myself of the high level intros of my previous jobs.
The intent of the interview was not the same as what they told me which was really confusing.
I got rejected, asked them for any feedback, none was provided.

Question 1
Tell us about your current job.
Tell us about the job before that and the one before that.
Got an email from recruiter who wants to set up a time to talk. Asked some generic HR questions and my experience. Was told they gonna speak to the hiring manager and get back to me. But never did, what a crap company culture. At least provide an email rejection, or you can't afford a proper recruitment system.
