I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tableau Software (Washington, DC) in Nov 2018
Interview
The interview process was very smooth. My first interview was a phone interview with the recruiter, who asked me some basics about my job history, what I’m looking for, etc, and she went over salary and benefits. Then, she scheduled me for a phone interview with a deal desk manager (wasn’t the person who turned out to be my actual manager, as he was out of office). She asked me questions relating to how I work. Finally, I was scheduled for an in-office interview. This took 3 hours and did involve an excel test, but it was only a few questions and I was given notice beforehand, so I refreshed my excel skills before I went in. I interviewed with the senior manager, two of my team members, and then finally my manager, who asked basic job history questions, as well as questions relating to my general work style. It went very well and I had a great first impression of the office and the team. Wonderful interview process, and I accepted the job!
The interview process took 3.5 weeks. I was first contacted by a recruiter to ensure my skillset aligned to the customer success organization. Then met with the hiring manager. Once I was in the clear - they scheduled a interview loop with 5 other people including a peer.

few processes and the key part is a demo call with panels. It was quite interesting . The recruiter was great to lead the process. I felt a little bit comfortable to communicate with people. Now I think people do not need to get demo call for this position anymore.
