Got a short notice request via an agency for interview the next day. I moved heaven and earth to make it, including a very early start for the 120 mile trip to make the required time. Turned up 15 mins early, yet had to wait an hour to be seen, so interview started 45 mins late. No explanation or apology. Main interviewer was gruff at best, rude and agressive at worst. Rather than find out what I had to offer spend 30 mins more or less criticising me and my previous employer. The HR rep was clearly embarrassed. Then announced the interview was over and left the room, no handshake etc. (Well before Covid). HR said they would be in contact within the week, not surprisingly that's the last I heard from Takeda, despite following up for feedback.
I believe the main interviewer has moved on, however I'd question why they believed that to be acceptable behaviour. Something immediately wasn't to their liking, wether that was on my CV, my appearance or my manner, or some other behaviour. If I were outside the supposed professional arena of an interview I'd probably have been equally kurt in my reaction such was the hostility I received.
This interviewer let themselves down, but by not even giving me a decision Takeda did not come across in any way positively.
