Was just a quick 10 minute call from the store manager, didn't take long at all. He asked if I had the availability he was looking for and if I could be punctual. Smooth process
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (City of Industry, CA) in Apr 2014
Interview
I applied online Tuesday April 15th then called them myself on the 18th (I asked for a 'status' on my application) and they set up a phone interview for April 21st. After the phone interview they called me back on Friday to have me come in Tuesday April 29th for an in-person interview and I was given the 'conditional job offer'. I took the drug test that same day. Orientation was May 9th. The whole process -from the day I applied to the day I was hired- took exactly 14 days. Both interviews were very casual, the phone interview was scarier than the in-person interview (coming from someone who had never been interviewed before). The interviewers didn't ask for any paperwork (resume, references, copies of official documents etc).

Question 1
All basic questions you can find examples of online, nothing that would catch you off guard.
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
It was interesting. Not hard at all, straightforward, and pretty open people. It was an okay interview and what you’d typically expect. So don’t stress stress it, I mean kinda try your best
