HR seems to either dislike her work or her tone of voice is not good. They are trying to fill unpopular roles by pushing people to the interview without even informing them.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok in Jul 2021
Interview
Typical PM interview process and nothing wildly different than what you'd expect at other tech companies.
The terrible part was after the interviews were completed and I was in talks of getting an offer. The recruiters will try sketchy and filthy tactics to manipulate and low ball. They will ask for your current salary and competing offers when they clearly know it is not okay/illegal to ask for the same. They also have me 3 distinct/unrelated reasons - that the scope of the role changed, there was a re-org and they hired a person internally as reasons for not willing to negotiate and then the same recruiter literally posted the same job on linkedin the day before. When I asked them about it, they blamed linkedIn and just abruptly ended the conversation. The offer was not even competitive

Question 1
Typical Product Manager Interview questions and framework Qs around product sense, execution, working with engg and influence, etc.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Dublin, Dublin) in Jul 2021
Interview
1. Call from recruiter to explain the role and the interview process if your CV is shortlisted. The recruiter who called me was efficient and explained the job really well. Would definitely recommend her, she is doing a great job.
2. Hiring manager interview - Experience based, Understanding of the role you applied for, and then behavioural questions followed by a 10-15 min case study. Then you would have 5 mins to ask any questions.
3. Rest of the rounds with the team etc.
Interviewer was 5-7 minutes late, I was thinking maybe I should drop off. Then he arrived and wasn't even sorry for being late. The interviewer looked rude and looked like he knew it all, was judging me the whole time.
Baffled by the case study. The case study wasn't clear as to why someone would ask a specific internal project scenario where I would have to provide insights in 10 minutes (which I tried). The interviewer should have presented some generic case study instead of project scenarios and knowledge only available to TikTok employees. I knew he is gonna reject so I was expecting a rejection email which arrived in a couple of days.
Already have 2 offers and accepted one, right after the interview experience. Should have taken a chance with Tiktok, if they had been nicer.
