I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TikTok (San Jose, CA) in Apr 2022
Interview
At the beginning, they asked me about part of my resume, the language used and some details about the project, and then took a less recently used question, and finally asked me if I had any questions, and then ended 10 minutes early. I don't feel good and they don't seem to care about my background, the problem I solved. I don't think they want to listen to my understanding and answer questions. What I want to say is that if you don't want to recruit me, you can reject me directly, and you don't need to interview me like you want to meet certain minimum requirements.
they asked me to implement LRU cache but i couldn’t, he was nice about it and helped me try to overcome my problems and guided me to smaller problems to solve like what does hashing mean and how to hash.

Interview
3 tech interviews - 2 + 1 I was only rejected after the final round of hiring manager interview for being "not senior enough". One PRC friend of mine jokingly said that maybe I was just not Chinese enough.
