I applied online. I interviewed at TransUnion (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2021
Interview
There were 3 phases. First step is screening call which was pretty straightforward general questions and the recruiter replied promptly to my follow up thank you email. Second phase was more detailed with hiring manager and it involved more in-depth questions on skillset and experience. It also gave a bit more clarity on the immediate needs of the role. The final stage was a "panel" interview, which was a series of zoom calls with different collaborating team leaders. The third round felt like a compatibility test with team members and was pretty enjoyable. The interview process from screening call to panel (final) interview took place over the course of a month. After the final interview, despite multiple check-in emails with HR, I was ghosted for about 2 months. Then I finally received a generic auto email letting me know they were "moving forward with other candidates."
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
From different stages of the interview process: How do you communicate with different types of talent (creative, production, legal etc)? What are three words you would use to describe yourself? Can you explain a time when one of those traits (from previous question) worked in your favor and another where it worked against you? How do you handle building a consensus with stakeholders that may disagree with you?
Thank you for bringing your experience to our attention. We hold ourselves to a high standard when it comes to professionalism, and that includes timely, concrete communication with our candidates. If you have any additional concerns you'd like to bring to our attention, please reach out to me at sasha.zito@transunion.com.
