The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Patent and Trademark Office in Feb 2012
Interview
The Interview was quite simple. I received a telephone call by a SPE. Another SPE also listened in on the interview. One SPE asked all of the questions which were mostly behavioral. The questions consisted of "how would you do your assignments if you had them due the next day?" or "explain a time when you had to in depth technical research and report such research to someone else" etc. As of the moment, I'm not sure if they are going to give me a job or not since I just interviewed a few days ago.
For some of the questions they asked me, I could not recollect my experiences so I just answered them in a hypothetical fashion.
