I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Ubisoft (Montreal, QC) in Jul 2018
Interview
I was given a total of 3 interviews by Ubisoft over a period of roughly five months for different art positions. Despite saying I should expect them to get back to me soon, they ghosted me after each interview, only contacting me weeks to months later for the sole purpose of giving me an interview for a different position (which is how I would find out I didn't get the previous job).
Needing a timely response after my latest interview (I was given an offer by a different company), I contacted them after two weeks and a half to do a follow up. Within less than an hour, I was given a reply that my application had been denied, and that they wished me luck. The recruiter I had been speaking with added that, coincidentally, he had attempted to reach me earlier that same day (which I find perplexing, seeing as I was told the exact same thing the last time I tried to contact Ubi, after a much longer silence of ~2 months). In my mind, I have no doubt that if I had not tried to reach the recruiter on that day, I would have never heard about my application again.
Overall, I found the entire application/interview process with Ubisoft highly unprofessional, especially considering I've had no trouble hearing back from any of the other studios I've dealt with.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What would you do if your work was kept being sent by your art director to be redone by other artists?
How would you feel if, after talking to your art director to find out what steps you could take to correct issues with your art, the situation persisted?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ubisoft (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2016
Interview
A screening with the recruiter took place first. He explained the role and gave a lot of information about the studio. This was followed by a call with art leads who asked a series of questions and allowed me to ask some questions that I had. It lasted about one hour and was pretty laid-back. The interviewers were friendly and easy to have a conversation with.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Ubisoft
Interview
The interview was quite well, relaxing and friendly. No pressure, just some information about myself as candidate, skills, previous experience, education etc. and personal qualities. Professional approach and very nice people. Very quick responses after and before interview.

Be prepared for answering some tricky questions about you as a person. Nothing special about your skills, just say what you can really do.
