I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty
Interview
Applied for job with resume and employment app. Recieved a call from A senior Recruiter within a week to set up a phone interview date/time which was about 1 week later. After phone interview, was contacted by DM to set up a date/time for 1 on 1 interview. After DM interview, I was called by a Market Trainer for a technical interview. After that 3rd interview about 1 week later the senior recruiter called me and told me I was hired and gave me an offer. I accepted. Entire process took approx. 1.5 months
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty
Interview
I filled out an application online, and was called a few days later to set up an interview. I went to that and she asked me about myself, why i wanted to work at ulta, about my previous job, about a time i went above and beyond for a guest. Then she told me about Ulta and how they operate. She asked if i had any questions and i asked about hours, then asked when i should be hearing back. she said she wanted to schedual an interview with her GM (General manager) right then. So I went back the next day and met with the GM, she said that the previous girl had done the interviewing part but she just wanted to meet me.. She asked about me, why I wanted to work at Ulta, and what I expected from a manager while working there. We finished up and she said i should be hearing back by the end of the week, i got a call the next morning and she said she wanted to extend the offer and i would start training the following week.
Some key pointers:
-Dress nice. The dress code is black bottoms, black closed toe shoes, and a black or white top. You can never over dress for an interview.
-Do your hair and makeup nice, but don't over do it.
-Don't worry about how long the interview lasts, each interview was probably only 10 minutes for me.
-Smile, they want people who are friendly
-Don't be afraid of the girls who work there; i will admit that i was intimidated because the 'pretty' girls work at beauty stores. I've gone through training and everyone is SO nice and its a pretty laid back job.
Good luck future employees :)
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ulta Beauty in Aug 2011
Interview
The process was about an hour long and they asked me about skincare and makeup. I was not given a very detailed job description and the description online was inflated. After offering the job, I came to realize I was simply a full time sells person. The online job description also calls for an under graduate degree. This is false and misleading.
