I applied online. I interviewed at Unilever (Bombaim) in Jan 2024
Interview
Very unprofessional interviewer. It was a freelance gig opportunity. It was via a third party recruiter. The recruiter and I waited on the call while he interviewer didnt join for 15 minutes. Later she made some excuse that her company firewall was preventing her to join. She could have simply informed this at the very beginning of the call to the third party recruiter as she had her phone number. Later she called me via a phone call bypassing the third party recruiter. I had specifically mentioned to the third party recruiter that i dont have fmcg experience and neither did the previous consultant have as i was a replacement of that consultant. But the interviewer seemed quite immature and unprofessional saying this is just an informal discussion on phone call and later we will have a "formal interview" online. She discussed my profile and the role for around 15 mins and at the end told me that i dont have "fmcg experience" which was laughable considering i have around 10 yrs of experience and the job was menial since it was a freelance gig and not rocket science. It really reflects badly on the company. The interviewer had no professional manners to go through my profile before the interview, she was simply lazy and too lazy to join the call. She was barely a graduate from some random american university and had less experience than me. Even the third party recruiter who was the intermediary between us seemed embarrassed for her. It's really sad to see such unprofessional people in Unilever. Has shattered the image of Unilever i had in mind.
