I applied online. I interviewed at Visa Inc. in Mar 2019
Interview
First I was sent an online coding challenge that consited of multiple choice and coding problems. 2 coding problems were relatively easy and 1 was hard (dynamic programming). Then had a phone interview. The interviewer was arrogant and it seemed like she didn’t really listen to what I was saying. Got a rejection the next day.
There is a total of 2 rounds of interview. 1st round is to solve coding question in hackerrank. It was rather easy and the 2nd round consists of whiteboard test and technical question. The technical question is rather basic as it test on the fundamental.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Visa Inc. (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2018
Interview
Got to the 2nd final round which was 3 virtual interviews. The first interviewer was an absolute a-hole. He asked me a C question, and I told him that I did not know as my preferred language was Java and I clearly stated in my resume that Java is my most proficient language and C was only one in which I had a bit of prior experience with. After that, he asked another C question. He must not understand English very well.
He asked a couple of coding questions which were trivial, then asked me some behavioral questions. Each time I answered, he'd counter with something like, "Oh, so you're saying that you don't do x well." I knew my answers were fine since I've said them in plenty of other interviews I've passed, but he was just trying as best as he could to twist them in some way to make me look bad.
The other 2 interviewers were fine.
After this interview, I tried following up twice. I was ghosted. How unprofessional.
