I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wargaming
Interview
The process took less than a week. I had a short screening call with a recruiter who worked for a different office, not the one I would've worked with if hired. Approximately 15 minutes after the first round, I was invited to a second round. The second round was more like a pleasant motivation/personality talk with a future team lead. It was going well until I got rejected 2 days later in an automated email about my application. It was weird after 2 rounds, so I sought an explanation. All I received was a canned answer with no particular comments on what exactly made them think I was too junior for the role with 4 years of relevant experience and 9/10 checks from the requirements list. They sent me this particular sentence: "After reviewing your candidacy, the hiring team recognizes your positive energy and determination to enter the gaming industry. However, based on your current experience, it is our assessment that your skills align more closely with a junior role, which unfortunately doesn't align with the specific requirements of the Project Manager position." No hard or soft skills got evaluated during the second round interview, and they already knew I didn't have industry experience, they still shut me down with crap reasoning. I explained my point of view to them about the rejection being unreasonable with respectful but very valid reasoning, and they ghosted me. A few days after the interview, they reuploaded the job to LinkedIn.

Question 1
What games do you play?
What was your motivation to join us?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Wargaming (Belgrade) in Oct 2025
Interview
HR interview, Technical(PM Soft and Hard skills) and with management. Overall process was brief and friendly. All participants were very professional. But you have to compete with 3-5 candidates at the last stage.
I went through two rounds of interviews with the team. The first one was with the recruiter, who conducted a typical screening. It was a pleasant conversation and resulted in a recommendation to move on to the second round.
In the second round, I spoke with the PM Director and the Game Director. We discussed my experience and covered all the usual topics related to project management. Although they eventually made an offer to someone else, the overall process was fast and transparent.
