I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at WeWork (Dallas, TX) in Apr 2019
Interview
4 interviews total. Webcam interview via Zoom with Recruiter, Webcam interview with a WeWork director, a Community tour and 90 minute observation, and a final 30 minute interview with who would potentially be my director at WeWork.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Asked about my current role in sales and how I'd transition my experience over to WeWork.
- Why WeWork?
- How well do you adapt to change? WeWork, while being in business for 10 years, is still very much a start up with a lot of changes pretty regularly.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WeWork in Dec 2018
Interview
I interviewed in April, thought it went well and received notice that they went with another candidate. I followed up with the recruiter asking for what I could do better next time, if given another chance, and she went radio silent. I gave it some time, saw that WeWork was opening a few new locations and applied again in early December. Wishing I had some feedback from my first interview, I had another interview, with a different recruiter. I figured that because I was offered another chance, that maybe my skill set was a good fit for the role and felt excited and confident about my interview, just to get rejected again.
I won't be applying to WeWork again, as I have given a lot of time and energy already. Also, a rejection email coming from the recruiter I interviewed with would've felt more personal and less robotic than an automated response.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WeWork (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2018
Interview
Short 20-30 minute video call followed by a "Building Visit" (sit-in interview with CM, shadow front desk Community Associates also known as an "undercover interview")
I felt that I connected with the recruiter and WeWork team well at a Seattle WeWork location so it is clear that my competitor out-interviewed me.
The process was quite fast as well as the response rate for the final verdict. WeWork is looking for ALL STARS for their team. It is important to dress well, articulate your work to the highest level, and be confident walking into the building. Best of luck to potential candidates!
