I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at X (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Recruiter reaches out to you, hiring manager then reaches out, if you pass that then you get sent an excel based test. After that is the in person interview, which was the worst candidate experience I have had. I was really excited to interview at Twitter because of the product and leadership. My first interviewer was over 10 minutes late, second was 15 minutes late, and third was 15 minutes late. The fourth did not show and I was sitting there for 40 minutes before I was approached y recruiter letting me know that the others were pulled into an emergency meeting. I understand the meaning of this as the decision was made to not move forward with me, which is completely fine. However, to keep someone waiting there for 40 minutes before letting them go is completely unprofessional.
Please have more phone based interviews to decide if there is a mutual fit. Otherwise, this is a waste of everyone's time.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at X (San Francisco, CA) in May 2013
Interview
Phone interview, followed by a full day of interviews with 4 people, then another followup in person with 2 people. You're greeted by the recruiter who checks in throughout the day to make sure you're comfortable.
It's pretty non-stop, and it's interview after interview. There might be lunch involved if you're there for the full day.
