It wasn't bad. The interview evaluates your product thinking skills for the most part. But they also want to know more about your problem-solving skills. Some of the questions included: How would you improve user engagement on WhatsApp? Tell me a time when you influenced engineering to build a particular feature. Design a new feature for Twitter that improves the new user’s experience

Question 1
How would you improve user engagement on WhatsApp?
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at X (New York, NY) in Nov 2021
Interview
It was a long process—about 4 interviews (1 with the hiring manager, 1 with potential teammates, final 2-part panel with various people from product, research, engineering, and design) over the span of 5 months. After being told I was a "yes" from everyone and the recruiter claiming she had enough info to put together an offer, I was unfortunately ghosted under the guise of them "finding a better team" for me. I did have one more interview with a different hiring manager for another team, but my emails to them since then were met with silence. This was a very disillusioning and heartbreaking experience for me so I likely will not apply to Twitter again.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at X (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2021
Interview
The team at Twitter are really so welcoming and open so the whole process feels smooth and easy. They have a great culture that allows you to feel very comfortable regardless of the outcome of your interview. It’s really enjoyable.
