I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at X in Sep 2015
Interview
Responded via LinkedIn to a recruiter email and she setup an initial conversation. The recruiter always seemed to be in a hurry and did not seem to listen to most things I said. Had a phone interview setup with the hiring manager. A week after that, I was requested to go through another round of phone interview. Within 24 hours of the second interview, I received an email suggesting that my skills are not a match for the position.
Overall, not impressed by the hiring process, especially the recruiter and the level of communication/transparency.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at X (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
Typical google style interview process w/ lots of brain exercise and quizzes, interesting but probably should be more direct on the position/skill they are looking for. Also interviewing engineers seem to be un-prepared. Maybe it was a busy day for them.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at X (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
It's one of those places where the interviewers are so antagonistic that you wonder why on earth the company is hiring to begin with. The interviewer must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. He hadn't come prepared, he hadn't looked at my resume and he gave no hints whatsoever during the interview process. He just huffed and puffed and whenever I wrote an answer on the whiteboard, he would look at it and say "So you're sure this will work if I stick it into Node and run it?"
Have a diet coke next time, buddy. Smile a bit. Life's too short to be a vapid pedant.
