I worked for a competitor in another state for many years in marketing. The bulk of the interview was spent on them asking targeted questions about my previous employer’s marketing strategies.

Everything from personal working style to creative problem solving. Emoyees doing the interviewing created their own questions. There was not a strict format after the initial phone screening which as great.
