A bell curve was draw on paper (the lower most part of the bell was above 0 (the curve has a y-intercept >0). The y-axis showed sales of a drug whereas x-axis showed number of sales people. I was asked to explain the curve's shape and the logical reason behind it.

Given a basketball game with the score 78-80 and only a few seconds left and certain probabilities of making a 2-point shot (thus leading to overtime), of making a 3-point shot and winning in overtime what should you do to maximize your chance of winning?
