Asked to solve a design problem with their existing software with limited information of the back-end. They were honest enough to say it was for a real problem they wanted to solve. They did not accept a generic standards based design approach and wanted a detailed solution, generally unheard of in an interview session.
No unexpected questions were asked! Probably the technical questions were a bit difficult but expected...
What is a project that you worked on that you were passionate about?
Several scenario questions that were vague. For example, they wanted to know what I would do if the project was behind on its deliverables and the QA manager who was responsible for the slippage was on vacation. How would I approach that?
