As each contact with this company was an initial intake interview (regardless of the fact each new contact was with a new agent each time), only the basic, most cursory qualifying statements and questions were used. At no time was the client, or their requirements discussed or mentioned in more than the most basic, nebulous terms.

You get 3 clients demanding immediate solutions by EOD, each facing enormous losses the longer they have to go without a solution. They've called within an hour of each other; one at 9, one at 10, one at 11. You're not familiar with any of the problems and the rest of the tech team is caught up with their own clients.
