- 30 min technical screen High level discussion about python and engineering basics - 1 hr coding exercise easiest coding problem I've done, almost thought it was a joke tbh. First was, create a class that calculates the moving average of a list of numbers Second was, basic SQL statement Third was, something about modifying the words in the string to remove "ing" "ed" "ly" at end of some words - 1 hr deep technical discussion Pretty straightforward architectural design call with two of the engineers. If you know what a microservice you'll do fine lmao. - 30 min call with senior director just a cultural type interview call seeing who I am and why I wanted to work there. not great vibes with this guy tbh
Behavior questions about leadership styles.
Nothing was particularly difficult. The hiring manager asked about my management style etc but no technical questions per say.
The interview process friendly and professional. The interview team wanted to get to know me, not to catch me in a mistake.
The interview questions were typical of a senior engineering position, quite a bit about decision making, development methodology, leadership style, and my direct knowledge of the tech I’d be leading. The style was similar to what I was asked at other questions, focusing largely on giving examples of situations I’d been in previously.
