I had an ME guys asked me ME design questions, then the COO asked me their production yield rate was low. From industry standard point of view, it should not have been in MP yet if the yield rate is that low from his number he told me. So I told them the truth. Then I suggested they can focus on top 5 failure rates and try to find out what the root causes are. Engineering team can work on the root cause analysis. Their COO told me they do not have manufacturing engineer to look into the problem, what will I do? I said I might not be the right person they are looking for. I was asked bunches of ME desgin questions, plus engineering questions which were not related to the position I applied for. I do not know what wrong with this compnay or this interview is for. They do have design engineers and I wonder why they kept telling me they do not have resources to fix those questions.
