MARKETING ARTIST TEST - GAMING The goal of these exercises is to test your analyzing, benchmarking, technical and creative skills. You can use any assets you want from any place. Homemade creations are more than welcome! 1. Benchmark & Inspiration Select 3 ads that you consider to be performing (generating many installs) in the hyper-casual gaming industry. Please explain your choices. Select 3 non-gaming visuals (video/image/etc…) whose concepts inspire you and you think are highly innovative. Please explain your choices. 2. Data & Analysis: Here are ads from Canvas Run’s Facebook Business Manager. Which ad do you think has more potential and why? 3. Creative Optimization: On this link, you will find an after effects file with a Voodoo ad in it. Make the necessary changes to the “Creative_1080x1920” composition in order to make it more performing. Note that this ad will be displayed on Tiktok. Explain why you made these changes. 4. Rush We call “rush” a gameplay session that we record on our phone. At Voodoo, marketing artists record their own game rushes and use them in their ads. Please record 3 rushes with different ways of playing Collect Em All. Explain the emotion/ intention you wanted to show for each rush. Requirements: 1. Rush format : 1080x1920 (.mp4) 2. Rush duration: 30 seconds 3. The videos should have sound 4. Remove the banners and ads 5. Creatives In this exercise, you will have to use the rushes you recorded previously on Collect Em All in order to create 3 different ads. 1. Make a creative based on one of the performing hyper-casual ideas you found in the first part of the benchmark. 2. Make a creative based on one of the non-gaming ideas you found in the second part of the benchmark. 3. Make a highly innovative creative that stands out from the other ads of the hyper-casual market. Tips: Don’t forget to think outside of the box and show us your style. Please explain the idea behind each creative. Requirements: 1. Creative format : 1080x1920 or 1920x1080 or 800x1000 (.mp4) 2.
