      Pros

      Big corporation. Complicated structure. The business is electrical design and manufacturing. The benefits are very good. Annual bonus, retirement contribution, and 401 k matching.

      Cons

      Depending on the type of work, the perception differs. Just like any company of this size there are management issues. The turnover of people in the front office is quite high. Middle management tends to stay for 2 to 3 years and move on.

      Slow growth, no empowerment to local management

      Pros

      - Steady work - Generally good atmosphere - Reliable company - Decent wages

      Cons

      - Our small division was always at the bottom of any priority list, subsequently we constantly had issues getting development, retaining staff (I personally had 3 managers in 3 years) - No corporate direction if you're not running projects in the 100s of millions - Way too spread out (in Calgary, there's 5 or more offices)

      Pros

      Good pay for the area, but with all the overtime, for a salary person, it pretty closely equates to "would you liked o supersize that for an extra $.99?"

      Cons

      Minimal training, lots of overtime for hourly and salary alike, including Saturday's.
