      Pros

      People are nice, good work-life balance, good location if you like the mountains, comfortable salary for the area, generous company 401k contribution (in addition to standard match)

      Cons

      Company recognizes there is growth in new markets but is "stuck" on standard product and old methods. Bland and Wytheville are sleepy mountain towns, so expect a commute if you want to live anywhere more interesting. This makes it hard to attract and hold onto top talent, so when people leave it takes a long time to back-fill a position and responsibilities and management tend to get fractured over time.

      Pros

      Good and competent colleagues (mostly), interesting work and tech.

      Cons

      Merge, sale, layoff, strategy shifts, generally being cheap in idiotic ways, IT and HR are disasters. 5 levels of dead-end acquired-through-mergers management without authority (e.g. a $90 purchase needs to be run by the CFO). New CEO killed off all remote work/part work from home because he only feels people work hard when the parking garage is full at 5PM. I am not joking.

      Unique global culture Exciting projects and technology Good people on local teams

      Cons

      CEO with zero emotional intelligence has entire leadership team disengaged Company failing because of incompetent management having no credibility with capital markets (growth targets based on CEO's ego not reality, this is why we are undervalued) Many of the company's top talent being fired, demoted or forced to relocate
