Pros

Great benefits and vacation time. Also there are plenty of events outside of work such as happy hours. There are lots of opportunities at the company if you work hard and show your abilities. Also there are opportunities to travel around the country and even internationally if you want.

Cons

Individual experiences differ from project to project. Some managers are better than others. Some will look after you while others will try to take advantage of hard working individuals. You are not always rewarded for your hard work. If you plan to start with the company be sure to start in the fall, if you start in the winter you will miss the promotion cycle. Promotions in the consulting workforce are based on time with the company. I missed a promotion because I was 1 month short of the requirement even though my rating ranked in the top 10%.

Pros

Great network, collaborative, bright people, can-do attitude, wide range of opportunities to go into areas of interests to particular individuals

Cons

lacklustre senior management spending insufficient time meeting clients and pushing innovative concepts through to sales. Company continues to lose talented people mostly as a result of limited promotion opportunities which in many cases is a result of a bottleneck created by old "partners" who year after year fail to find success in growing the business but somehow manage to stick around through judicious management of their performance process.

Pros

Used to have a great reputation, particularly under the previous brand. One of the best (and most difficult) graduate "training" schemes in the IT Industry - the gain is certainly worth the pain in the long term. If you get in - particularly in consulting - you'll be working with similar "A Type" personalities, some of whom you will be in conflict with, others will be colleagues and best friends for life. Depending where you are in the world, you may get opportunities to travel. If you deliver, get constantly good results, and "create" a position for yourself somewhere - you will make it. A great name to have on your CV.

Cons

... historically. Now isn't so good as the reputation of company going downhill fast due to major non-delivery of projects. Be very wary of those that have been "brainwashed" - very good salespeople. HR and Marketing very self-important and don't understand what its like to work "at the coal face". Expect to work very long hours, unpaid overtime, at weekends as "normal". Huge differences in morale, salaries, travel, benefits across the world. Snobby culture in Consulting against the other workforces. Be very wary of "large transformational projects" for "market leading companies" - these tend to be the most under-resourced and lowest morale among staff. "Oversell and Underdeliver" seems to be the motto at the leadership level. Does not value specialist staff - be prepared to be a generalist if you are going for career progression.
