Pros

Great development schemes - training was great. Discounted rates with all Accor UK Hotels and also other discount with other Accor Hotels & partners across the globe

Cons

Lack of support from management - make it or break it mentality - not enough mentoring & coaching. As most of Hospitality business, long hours. 80 hours week were not uncommon. My contract was stating "you are required to do the amount of hours needed to run the business efficiently" which means it all. Whenever I was making a 7.5 hours days I felt guilty about it.

Pros

Great place to get first experience in management. A lot of autonomy.

Cons

Hard to move up due to the large number of long tenured employees who were set in their ways.

Pros

Large stable company with competitive pay and benefits. The opportunity to travel for work, without it being your life. I liked talking to people all over the world everyday, and learning how different cultures do business

Cons

The French Management team was a bit flakey. Additionally French culture is about who you can blame when something goes wrong, not how to fix it for the client- this rubbed against my American service values.
