Pros
1. Colleagues are collaborative, helpful and innovative. Your voice is heard and valued in the company. Coffee chats are encouraged for you to get to know your colleagues regionally/globally. 2. The Adyen formula can be seen - we talk straight without being rude and do our best to win together, even for things that we disagree on. 3. Work life balance is great here. I can't speak for all managers, but I can see my colleagues being able to balance work and life very well as this is a high trust and high flexibility environment created by my manager. 4. If you're looking to branch out into another department, you can indicate your interest and the company encourages you to own your career and move laterally. I've seen a lot of colleagues grow into other roles and move across countries/departments. 5. With that being said, it's possible to work in another country too! No doubt Covid has ruined it for most, but I'm also seeing a lot of colleagues moving to other countries during this period.
Cons
1. Processes may not be fully established yet in APAC, you'll have to expect to be adaptable to the changes and be a self-starter in most areas. 2. If you're someone who expects a structured environment of work, this may not be the place for you. If you like to learn as you go, then this company will suit your working style. 3. Security is very high here, a lot of things are not given for the first 6 months so it will make work rather difficult. 4. The finance team is located in Amsterdam and it can be difficult to get their support + payments may not be made on time. For a payments company, this is rather unacceptable.
