Pros

great location decent - health insurance, travel, free food, drinks on Friday

Cons

1. cult culture - rigid mindset of management, which is arrogant on historic success 2. outdated tech stack 3. In their formula they want to build for 20x growth, but their tech strategy doesn't support that. 4. ML teams have been waiting for GPU since 1 year to be made available. 5. Not willing to leverage the solutions available by Public cloud providers since they want to build everything themselves. This also shifts the focus from building solutions for the customer. 6. Doesn't value talent of new hires 7. Very political - need to make connections to grow

Pros

1. The greatest thing of this company is the people. They are smart and capable. Everybody treats each other like friends. 2. The company was the top notch when it comes to its culture 3. Good work life balance 4. Opportunities to travel

Cons

1. Low compensation. Below market rate and bonus is only for certain roles. The funny thing is the management still think they are paying their employees well. This is the first reason why so many fantastic people left or are leaving. The most ironic thing is there is a rewards team that supposed to be looking after employees compensation and benefits. However, they are also the main blocker (or HR) for any pay raise negotiation. New joiners always tend to have higher compensation than existing employees 2. The company used to operate in a more startup atmosphere where you have a lot of autonomy and you can start a project you are interested in (lots of them turn out to be good supplement to the current products). However, ever since the company hired a lot of people from the “corporate world” (big names like Google, Meta), the company is moving towards a more corporate culture. This is not totally a bad thing as it brings structure to the company. However, the toxic blaming culture is also being brought to the company with those new managements. So sad to see that has happened. 3. Little to no growth opportunities. The promotion system here is a joke. No clear guidelines, mostly based on the preference of the management and head count. 4. The product is really one of the best in the industry but since the people who developed it left. Things go chaotic.
