Pros

Best Training in staffing hands down! Other recruiting companies will constantly be offering you jobs. Culture is fun. Also, the HR is actually really good compared to other companies. You can express yourself to upper management and won't get fired! That is huge!

Cons

Salary: Compensation is low. 33k for recruiters unless you have been there a year, then you get 36k. Account Managers get 36k. Commission: 3% commission off of spread. Spread is a weekly % off of a mark-up. You get money off of spread, not the sell itself. So, hypothetically speaking, if you place an engineer at $100k a year for a company, with 50% mark-up on top of that, the company makes $50k over 3-6 months. Your spread is $1500/week! However you only get 3% of that in actual earnings. $45 bucks over 3-6 months. so $3-6 bucks a week on top of your paycheck! That's how it all works a $10k recruiter is a top producer so do the math on that.

Pros

Fast hiring process, long assignment, available recruiter, acceptable compensation

Cons

Lack of Integrity in the local branch. Taxes, unemployment, and customer service were not handled with Integrity. I was surprised and disappointed, however, Integrity is a virtue missing from many of our lives.

Pros

--Great place to learn recruiting processes --Commission on top of base pay --Frequent company events --Expense account --Your next job will be a cake walk from the work ethic you develop at Aeroek

Cons

The pros listed above are heavily outweighed by the cons --Zero work life balance, average hours are 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m; leave before 6:00 and you're nicknamed "part-timer" --"Frat" environment, meaning going to the local bar with managers and co-workers is the "fast track" to getting promoted. "Come into work hungover? Good for you Sport-o!" --Terrible base pay (approximately 30K) and commission only pays when you are over a top tier. It takes on average, 60 hours a week and 9 months - 1 year to reach this tier. By then Sr. Account Managers are pushing you into Sales so you can start all over at zero. --Incredible amounts of internal gossip, back-stabbing, hooking-up, and sloppy recruiting (i.e. faking reference checks, which everyone turns a blind eye to). --As a "Production" company, everything is numbers based. Recruiters are given an impossible To-Do list and the result is terrible customer service for contractors and candidates. --High internal turn-over.
