Pros

One of the good things about Aerotek was that there were plenty examples in my office of hard work paying off. There were around 30 people in my office and about 3-5 of them were making over 6 figures in a down economy. It also is good experience for a first job right out of college.

Cons

There were also a lot of examples of people that had fallen into the right situation and had inflated egos because of it. Too many of the sales managers treat their recruiters like trash and only a select few actually put effort into developing them. Also, if you are in a struggling division you will be working awfully hard to be making 33K. The "benefits" are pretty bad as well.

Pros

Teaches great work ethic and looks very good on a resume for future positions. Fundlementals of recruiting can be taken with you anywhere you go, and you will meet some people you will talk to for the rest of your life.

Cons

Upper management plays favorites, and it always seemed to be a recruiters fault when office spread was low. Office politics and extreme micromanagement can make you not want to go to work anymore, which is the case for many people. When things are going well, they are going very well. When they are going bad, its very bad... There doesn't ever seem to be an in-between.

Pros

There is room for professional growth within Aerotek, even as an Admin, which surprised me. Not many companies have a hierarchy where Admins can do more with their career without transferring to another department.

Cons

Some elements of the company culture are a bit corporate-ish, if that makes sense. Things like "carefrontation" can sometimes make a workplace more strained instead of airing out issues.
