Pros

Aerotek always has openings for Recruiters because there is a high rate of turnover. There are always entry positions open for college graduates. You can get your foot in the door if desired.

Cons

The staff has many young college grads. who seem to only care about performance and pay rather than acting responsibility. The company is profit-motivated. Aerotek pushes you to have people come through the door rather than supplying jobs. They play the numbers game and this results in frustrated and disappointed job seekers. The hours are too much. You have no personal life if you work for Aerotek and management wants to know all the intimate details of your personal life. This is bit upsetting to me. Staff is generally unfriendly because they are stressed out attempting to meet management's unrealistic expectations.

Run away

Pros

Working with younger people and being able to watch their drama can be pretty entertaining. I mean, it’s like getting to watch a live version of Paradise Island or something.

Cons

If you are older than 25, don’t even bother. If you have a family, don’t bother. If you want to go home to your family and not out for taco Tuesday or thirsty Thursday, you will be looked down on. You will be treated differently. Heaven forbid if you are serving in the military and have to go for training. You will be looked down on, treated poorly, and be berated for letting down your “team” that had to work “so much harder” in your absence. The last point, quite frankly, is the worst. Never, in my 25 years of working, have I been treated so poorly because of my military service.

Amazing place to work

Pros

Great family oriented culture. They have an uncanny ability at being able tie together personal and monetary goals in perfect harmony. Like yeah the point is to get placements, earn commission, but it doesn’t really feel like work, it feels like you are just making a difference in people’s lives by helping them get jobs which we are—and so at Aerotek it’s like never forget that. You just happen to get money when you do it.

Cons

We have a feedback culture where people are asked to deliver feedback. But honestly it doesn’t work if people aren’t open to it or willing to change. It feels like a slick way to make employees feel like they have a voice but really it’s just to get us to heed what leadership is saying when they deliver feedback. It’s some slick psychological manipulation (I say that in jest). Otherwise no complaints, people are kind, it’s a professional diverse environment, where you can create your reality and make as much as you want. The best part is they give you a great base pay for security. I love my manager, director, and peers.
