Pros

Business processes are smooth, you'll get your checks on time. Fine place to get started for the younger worker.

Cons

Poor choice for the more senior, experienced technical workers. Insurance plans appear to be "lowest bid" (in some cases I'm sure the insurers are paying them (eg, the short-term disability insurance). They will sell your salary and employment information to anyone who will pay via talx. Read everything they want you to sign, make sure there isn't any kind of non-complete or exclusionary language that could apply to other future employers.

Pros

Strong training program. Good stepping stone to get some experience. There is potential to make great money, but not every position gives you the opportunity to make top dollar.

Cons

Poor pay and commission structure for new recruiters. You could work on recruiting for a very specific skill set that would take weeks to find the right candidate, only to have the company pull out of the deal. It's a cold calling job that will have you sitting at a desk, reading resumes for 9+ hours a day.

Pros

Good people to work for and good stepping stone for a better opportunity. I got a close friend out of it. (She is no longer their) and got some good training.

Cons

After working for Aerotek for 4 years it was time for a move. The turn over is huge ,in the 4 years that I worked their over 30 people left or got fired. (The office consisted of 40ish employees. ) The company advertises the opportunity for advancements and opportunity to make money but in reality it's takes almost 2 years to get promoted to an account manager and out of all the account managers 1 or 2 account managers are making over the 6 figures that they advertise. During my time their I was a top performing recruiter and ranked top 5 within the region. With that being said my salary with commission was 80k. Unfortunately the long 60 hours weeks, high quota , and turn over made me realize that a 65k corporate recruiter is way more comforting then working for Aerotek. Don't get me wrong the company trains you very well but aside from that this company is a good stepping stone for something better. I would avoid working for them. Aerotek is known as the McDonalds of the staffing industry. They are a big company but lack the respect for their employees and customer service for their clients and contractors. Aerotek still has yet to win a "Best of Staffing Award".
