Pros

Good training program Some very nice people that work there Good pay if you are a top recruiter Ability to get promoted within 1-2 years Easy to get another recruiting job

Cons

Poor management The current senior leader has had almost the entire office (50 people) quit or get fired in 2012. Granted, there were some bad employees, and there still are several bad AM's that do anything they can to save face. It's just bad business. Long hours-- M-F from 7:30-6:30 and don't be late or you'll get fired Entitled Account Managers that think they rule the world Preferred treatment for men Forget using your vacation and personal time-- they won't let you You will have to work from home when you are sick, or they may accuse you of not being sick and make you come in "Optional" happy hours until 10 PM Fearing for your job on a daily basis because coworkers throw you under the bus

Pros

It was my first job out of college. Yes, I learned a lot of great skills but at the expense of poor training and lack of camaraderie. When I started, at least benefits were company paid but soon that disappeared. I learned a lot about HR and client relations but wasn't worth the stress and lack of respect I received.

Cons

I was a regional leader in my role, but even that wouldn't support a promotion since they were handed out on whomever the branch manager wanted to kiss their ass. Despite situations where I was the only person working the back end or trying to run things smoothly from an operational standpoint, I was given no power, respect or was treated like an outcast since I wasn't in a recruiting role. No promotion was ever given despite my successes and even when I was awarded for my leadership from company headquarters (award not given by my branch manager), it was a slap in the face since I wasn't named on the award. Rather, it was given as an office award, as if other people were responsible for my success.

Pros

I cannot think of a single pro for working for Aerotek - except that they do hire entry level candidates (and only hire entry level candidates)

Cons

They beat you down and badger you while paying you about 30K a year - also have internal terms that they use to justify when they mistreat you - there is a lot of drama in the workplace and if you are not in the office between the hours of 730AM and 7PM you will get a stern talking to from upper management. There are no opportunities for growth, no room to have a life outside of the office and very little to take away from the position.
