Pros

Food, Snacks, t.t table, friendly collegues.

Cons

Warning!!!! Save yourself the time and pain. Typical BPO. They will potray as if they are different but trust me they will show their real colours in no time. You will be told its a captive unit but you are not allowed phones on the floor. I was working with them from the beginning but they have no respect and regard for you. You may encounter some racism if you are a Jat like me. Initially things were amazing, but they soon neglected whatever you did for the company as they grew. Operation Management is Okay and you can easily reach out to anyone provided you talk sense and logic but they all carry attitude as if they are working for some Government. HR is worthless and they also have an employee experience team who will take feedbacks only and never work on them. They will want you to butter the higher management in the name of culture. Management will keep lying to you and will never share the real picture which further causes you trust and anxiety issues. Politics play a pivotal role if you want to climb up the ladder. They have hired T. L's from other organisations so that you can never have opportunities. The work will become monotonous very soon and will never recommend working there if you have a calling background. Incentives are like a illusion. The maximum is 15 thousand if you overachieve your target which is a rarity. T. L's will provide illogical reasoning and will want you to fear them. A sense or fear of getting terminated is implemented at a very early age. You will be told that you will be terminated if you bring your phones in the company, do no meet targets, take excess leaves, browse facebook, exceed the breaks and the list goes on and on. Do join if you want to work in fear and feel like mordern bonded slave. They are always searching for ways to make the employees fear more and more. Transport is one sided only which only makes it more difficult. There are better companies you can work for. Will recommend you to stop wasting your time here. I told someone to come for the interview as instructed by the HR and they did in the scorching heat but were told to go back. This made me furious and I asked the beautiful HR girl to do her Job. She plotted some case against me and I was asked to leave. They harrased me mentally for resigning as they think I offended someone from HR. I did not accept their request and they terminated me without any salary which was to be paid by them for terminating me. Now, I feel like I wasted my precious time which could have been utilised elsewhere. Thanks god I am finally free from this absurd & wierd organisation.

Pros

-fabulous product - the ability to help everyday people expand their income and make friends around the world; it's really a wonderful thing that is changing the world one reservation at the time -The ability to work from home from your first day of employment (if you're in a remote position, but even the SF-based employees can work from home one day a week). -depending on your job, a new Airbook laptop for your use -quarterly travel credit (although they put a bunch of restrictions on the use of it, which sort of makes it feel like a rebate) -the actual Airbnb hosts out in the world, for the most part, are really interesting and remarkable people -The Customer Support team is full of genuine, friendly, smart, and reliable people.

Cons

Many employees do not receive health insurance or other standard full-time benefits until 6 to 12 months after they begin work with the company, so do not be fooled by the shiny promises on the jobs page. I have had 4 different managers in 1 year and none of them had/have the experience or skills to effectively lead a team. (Leadership is not having a big ego or ordering people around.) No one's word means anything at Airbnb. People say one thing one day and then the next day they do a different thing. This is not me being resistant to innovation or change. I'm talking about basics like meetings you've set up, human resources issues, or even just responding to emails. You really can't rely on anyone to do what they promised. People don't communicate well and there are few people who take responsibility for their actions. People with no experience or expertise make decisions that make absolutely no sense to the people putting those policies into effect. Management rarely communicates to the employees who have to execute these changes nor the community of users who rely on the site what they are planning to change. Airbnb is losing the group of hosts who first joined them before it was a cause celebre, the ones who helped them get where they are today, and it's a shame. It's also losing smart, devoted employees who are tired of being subject to the whims, empty promises, and poor management skills of their supervisors. If you are a smart, mature person with integrity you will have a hard time here because most of the employees are not grown up and do not value or possess critical thinking skills. There's so much more I could say, but these are all the things I wish I had known before I accepted a job there. Working at Airbnb has been a real disappointment.

Pros

- great benefits and work life balance - good hiring bar - friendly co-workers - relatively little office politics

Cons

They love promoting their work culture and thinks it's absolutely amazing. It's great if you fall very much to the left of the political spectrum like the rest of the company (and SF). But if you happen to have a couple right-wing sympathies like me such as expressing your admiration for Ben Carson in a team lunch, you will be met with frowns and disdain. I overheard an argument where a co-worker said he opposed universal income and everyone around him started to argue with him. I'm pretty sure if you said you liked Trump in any way, you'd be out of the building with all your possessions in a box. Also the co-founders are infallible and worshipped by everyone on the team. Their "Is Mankind" campaign was a terrible "Emperor's New Clothes"-esque flop but no one dared to correct them.
