Pros

Opportunities to visit and interact with customers to understand needs. Management usually supports training to match your yearly goals. Very strong safety culture.

Cons

Very little opportunity for scientists to move up to section managers or group leaders. Pay scale and growth opportunities are not communicated well through HR nor management. Ownership for projects are projected as top-down but really is a system to blame scientists for lack of direction. Marketing plays a relatively hands-off role in acquiring new business with little justification for projects.

Pros

If you have nothing else in the works, you might want to consider unitl you can find something better. Get some SAP experience and get out.

Cons

Employees, sales and customer service are not trained well on SAP. They have a system that few employees really know how to use.
