Pros

AkzoNobel has been a very stable company (provided you are in truly value added areas of the buisness). They are very concerned with safety and a great corporate image.

Cons

Unfortunately - it seems that Akzo Nobel has taken a deep draught that from the punch bowl when it comes to diversity. On one side, they state that they wish to promote women and minorities to reflect diversity in the workplace and the places they do buisness...yet there a huge centralization push that alienates those who are not Dutch or Eastern European. Also - I have heard on more than one occasion from some of the European management (because I speak Swedish, I fly under the radar a bit at some of these meetings) discussions about how "Americans are paid too much"
