Pros

Most colleagues are friendly, helpful, kind-hearted. 7% contribution to pension from the employer, many companies actually provide more... Child allowance. APA allowance 2000 EUR only if you pass 3 exams. 30% shift allowance. Good for CV probably. If you breath harder, you will be grand.

Cons

Salary. Many people mentioned is well paid, but only if you do shifts, without shifts, basic salary is 25K, which is similar to the salary of a receptionist in Dublin. The management in general. The new management who have been on the duty for more than a half year, really? We don't think to be knowing what's happening as there was no formal introduction until now, we got no idea where we are being leaded, what is our new vision, new plan, new measures for the administration for the department etc, as it is said, the managerment is invisible. We got one we guess is a secret agent of the helpline because no body knows what this person does except seeing this person go up to canteen 4 times a day, hide somewhere talking with besties, delightfully greet everybody when comes in the morning, goes out at night, oh yeah, we know how happy you are everyday as you don' t need to take calls one after another. Another incredible being is one apparently have been expelled by the superior to sit somewhere far away, so they don't get along, we get it, but how the helpline would be leaded towards a good direction if we knew there are issues within the management? The good thing is at least this person does tell the team leaders on us about who is late from lunch/break for 5 mins, who is late to log in the phone for 5 mins, who wraps up the phone for 5 mins etc, ok we get it, you let the team leaders to do the dirty work. On the contrary, this person smirks at you when you are needed to do something, but many people know if you really need something from this person, this person will tell you how busy it is while this person goes out for cigarette break 10 times a day. Ye, isn't it fabulous? Emails. Assigned emails from the team leaders everyday, plus we have to take calls one after another, we were told to do the emails in between, sounds easy, come on, I suggest one people from the management to try for one hour. In addition, as the management only cares about the figures, so the they transferred the backlogs to the Dubai team which located thoudsands miles away from us to reply our emails, woooo, yee, that's brilliant, only if you get more emails replied back from the customers due to these emails been answered incorrectly, or been transferred to the wrong department, or due to their insufficient knowledge on our products. You think anybody cares? Few clicks aways, hundreds of emails are gone, magic, beautiful performance! Calls. Sometimes you get a piece of quietness if you only do emails. However, on calls, you will be butchered, you will feel giddy after few hours, eventually you will give up on your life and as a result, resign, as what had happened to many leavers. Retention rate. You are illusioned, it is not our culture. Hotdesk. Yeee, I was so happy to be hired by Allianz without anticipating that I don't get a fixed desk since Day 1, yes, you heard me right, you have no fixed desk in Allianz Parkwest. They are implementing hotdesking from next week which you need to change a seat almost everyday, I bet will be fine. And of course, helpline is democratic, we were asked opinions about this but it was just a process, one ear in, one ear out, ta da, they carry on whatever they want. Work-life balance. Stop day dreaming. We don't even have full weekends off, plus the shift (including breaks) changes everyday like 15 - 30 mins earlier or later, ye, so much to take in, right, yep, some people have been on sick leave for a long time due to all sorts of the stress. Holiday. Yeeee, finally when we want to, you know take some breaks, wait a minute, you see it is rejected, reason: not enough people of your language on duty. Many of us, people who speaks more than 1 language, we need to book a holiday 6 months in advance to secure the spot. There were many times, some one's holiday got turned down due to the above reason, but it turned out to be 3-4 officers speaking this language on the same shift. Can this be blamed on our system which didn't forcast correctly or the pretentious management? Who knows? Communication. Bazinga, of course, we have this, juuuuust talking on papers. You think they don't know our complaints? They hear, they do survey, but HR try to inhibit our voices, and the management is afraid to take risks, reluctant to improve things, vulgarly speaking, what the management cares is their own positions, not the future as a whole. Racism. No offence, they hire most Irish even though we require more people who speak more than 1 language as business needs. If you are Irish, and know how to be obsequious, you will be grand. Irish people got to do partime while non-Irish got turned down straight away when asking for the same request and with sympathetic reasons; Irish people got promoted whereever/whatever they want to be despite their experiences; Irish people got to negotiate their shifts in their preference while still enjoying the same shift allowance; As foreigners, you get no chance to be any part of the good deals, unless you know how to suck up to the management, anyway, it is your country, it's your say, applaud to your spiritis of the unity. HR. Ye, Majority of those beautiful comments put out there were written by them, you see how flawless are their English, at the same time, bad comments are being deleted from time to time. Well done, you are doing your job, we don't judge, just to tell the truth. Parking. You will need to park miles away if you don't start at 6, 7 or 8 am. The list could go on and on like a rap sheet, believe me.

Pros

Pension, Health Insurance, Parking spaces, Car insurance

Cons

There is an HR reaction to a review published for Allianz Care (which is Allianz Partners, Dublin offices). In that reaction, HR is calling the review "divisive" because it is mentioning how employees are divided into two groups: foreigners and native Irish. While I don't agree with the language of the reviewer, I must agree with one thing; Yes, this company is split due to extremely poor ethos. Locals are often promoted based on their family/relationship ties to management. Everybody knows about it. I've spent almost eight years working for this company, and I am Irish too, but I don't look it by appearances, and it always counted. I strived towards perfection at work, and I gave the company my best. Still, anytime it came to promotion, somebody with ties to the management was promoted. HR always gave me a very general and inadequate explanation. Many of my colleagues who no longer work for this company were leaving either depressed (literally) or exhausted. When you have a family and must pay your bills "stuck" is what you will feel in this place — no fairness and very often no professionalism. There is only one thing I regret, and that is: For a long time I trusted the HR and my manager. I shouldn't have. I should have moved on with my carrier. I just did and so I am leaving a word here for those who are considering joining. It is not worth it. Oh wait, they just got the Unions in! Congratulations to HR on their success in managing human 'resources'.

Pros

I have worked for a number of years in Allianz and in a number of companies before Allianz. I find it a great place to work, with great learning and development opportunities, great people and a great environment. The reason I felt the need to write this review is because I've seen some of the comments on here and I think it's nothing short of bullying. The comments seem to be directed at a few people (mostly managers) and I think it's really unfair and just plain mean. How is it OK to hurt people like that? Nobody really likes their manager (lol) but that doesn't stop most people getting on and doing a good job - just respect each other and get on with the task at hand. I note that many comments are left by people that still work in Allianz. If you hate it that much then why not leave? If the culture isn't for you then find somewhere that's a fit for you - like everybody else does in their working life! It would turn someone away to read all these comments and I can honestly say that they do not reflect my experience of working with this company. I think management are generally open and listen to concerns and do try to address them. I think generally speaking they try hard to do a good job. I've raised stuff in the past I do believe they tried to make things better. I understand that everyone's experience is different (and different departments have different sub-cultures) but as I said, if you don't like it then don't stay. Why stay and come onto an anonymous site to complain and moan about it - how is that going to help anyone? Why not have an open and honest conversation with your manager or their manager or HR? I know I'm on a bit of a rant here but it really annoys me when people moan over every little thing and how companies aren't living up to their expectations.... my expectation is that I turn up, do a good job, get paid and go home! I expect nothing more - and that fact that Allianz provides more (like Sports and Social clubs, health and well-being programs, paid insurance, EAP etc etc...) is just a bonus, and a good bonus at that! I'd say the problem with half the ones complaining on here is that they aren't doing a good job - maybe that's why your manager and/or colleagues aren't so happy with you... ever think of that? FYI I don't work for HR - clearly as I'm sure I wouldn't be allowed say half of that if I did... :-)

Cons

The location might be an issue for some people as public transport is only OK to the area but I always laugh when I hear people complaining about it... as if they didn't know where they came for an interview. But something to consider if you're thinking of moving to Allianz and don't have a car.
