      Used to be a great company that cared about employees now only cares about the bottom line at expense of employees.

      Pros

      Co-workers are friendly. The building is nice. The gym, Starbucks, and the cafeteria are a bonus. The socials, picnics, and Christmas parties are great if you are able to get off to attend. The work helping customers is satisfying.

      Cons

      Senior management one in particular plays the favoritism game. If you aren't in the click you don't matter and are targeted. Many people fear retaliation and being fired. HR does not seem to care or stand behind the employee. I've seen positive, great leaders who cared about associates and customers leave the company which has put stress on the team.

      -'requested' to do extra work for which you are not compensated in order to get promoted (which will never happen) -quality assessment is based on every word you do or don't say, but no script is provided so that you can succeed. there is no written standard against which your quality is determined, therefore it's completely arbitrary -clueless management -policies that change monthly -no work life balance -low pay -so much pressure -joyless work environment -high turnover

      A great place to grow and develope professional skills! This was my first internship, and I definitely think it could not have gone any better. The people are so nice and helpful. Allianz really cares about their employees and their interns, and therefor does all they can to help them grow. There are lots of informative workshops for the interns, that break up the workweak, keep you engaged, and let you get to know more people outside of your department. The company is also very active and socially concious, and regularly has volunteer events, even some the interns can participate in. The facilities are very nice and clean. There are so many good things I could say about this company, and how they have made this a wonderful inten experience. I think the indication of a great internship is if you can leave, seeing yourself working for that company in the future. Working for Allianz again is definitely something that I will want to pursue in the future!

      Cons

      The hourly rate for interns is okay, but not great. This being my first corporate internship, I think the rate is fair, but if I were closer to grauation or had more experience coming in, I definitely would have tried to negotiate for higher pay.
