Pros

Meeting culture based on writing a document and reviewing it instead of a PowerPoint presentation is so much more effective. A lot of autonomy in your small group as long as you can contribute to the processes that roll up. Mountains of training tools and videos for on-boarding and investing in your skills. Huge organization with tons of opportunities for internal transfers. Good work/life balance in my org.

Cons

Too much home grown tooling in places where there are great industry products.

Pros

Great pay and very competent co-workers Culture and training is extensive Lots of opportunities to work on interesting projects

Cons

Senior management leans heavily on capable managers instead of putting forth good planning Every tool at Amazon is custom so the ramp up as a new employee is extensive
