Pros

Company understands the need for continuous improvement. Strong culture on promoting up. Tons of HR resources.

Cons

Many external teams handle some HR functions that pose time barriers on a routine basis. Weak compensation for internal promotions. Company puts large compensation investments into external talent which demotivates internals.

Pros

You can wear whatever you want to work

Cons

It's not really an HR role. You are an HR Assistant at best. They treat you like an hourly employee ( zero flexibility, no time off, etc.) but expect you to work 13 hour days. You do a lot of administrative/busy tasks that have nothing to do with HR and add no value to the business. I had to start seeing a therapist to deal with working there. Lots of active shooter threats and horrible investigations. A friend of mine told me not to work there because they treat their HR horribly. I did not listen. If you are talented please do not join Amazon. You will waste time you cannot get back.
