Pros

Possibility for some unique opportunities You learn a lot about business and business writing

Cons

Very competitive with teammates, cut throat at times. Promotions are dangled like a carrot, but quickly moved forward as you get close. Performance review is rigorous, must fut into a box Teammates ratings, someone always has to be at the bottom Unrealistic workloads and output for level of work and pay Too much churn in organization structure, change is good but it's way too much. Leadership needs a tune up in attitude. Yelling at directs and teammates is not acceptable. Yet, will preach the proper behavior and won't follow through.

Pros

I worked with highly skilled teams from a broad range of backgrounds. It really depends on the team you're on, but they truly made coming to work manageable to the workload.

Cons

Task Burden - Standard work not truly reflective of HRBP level scope. I was spending nearly 30-60 minutes 3x week taking pictures of the site to ensure amenities were working and another 30-60 minutes updating site communications. Administrative tasks take up a ton of time and not a lot of value added that is shared with us from seniors as to why we spend so much time on these tasks.
