Pros

Good location in downtown provides easy access to the best restaurants

Cons

Terrible working environment, stuff is dirty. To the point of having pigeon plumes over the desks due the to old building. Unoccupied desks are left cobweb, floor is with carpet so the place has its own smell. Inadequate kitchen, very small space for the amount of people. Terrible coffee only solved if you pass your own with your electric kettle. Totally unprepared leaders, every move the company does with training is always on the cheap side and does not provide adequate results. Company lied to me and a whole batch of new employees when I got in saying there was a career plan and there never was. Timelines do not take in consideration what the company can deliver, but what its major contractor wants it to be. Terrible choices of technology, horrible architectural choices: a POC (proof of concept) is often asked and even with developers being clear that the final solution should not be using a POC it ends up being used as the base after. Company cannot keep good developers: they leave when they can. The only good people that stays longer on the company are the young ones that are still in college and have half of it paid by the company. No clear path of growth. Company asks a lot more than a job posting asks for. They had when I got in two positions: one of programmer and other implementing analyst, I've got a position for the first (and thought it was strange back them) and was asked about what I did more than a senior software engineer when asked for a promotion, with a totally clueless list of stuff btw like being able to do alone software of any kind of complexity. Overhours. To the point of doing 60+ hours a week to try to meet unrealistic schedules. 44 hours a week, not the 40 hours that is most common in the country for the field. You will work at carnival day. Management will tell you that you have to since the major contractor also works in the carnival, and that is a lie. Terrible computers without enough RAM for a developer. You are also luck if you have a fullhd monitor. No parking space, only for managers. No bike parking space. Old air conditioning system that affects employees health and create tension between people: for some is too cold, for some it is too hot, some have the air flow above the head, others not. Excess of junior grade developers. Almost all the developers of the company are of Junior grade, but only the young ones they can get with a Junior salary so there is a lot of "senior" programmers that aren't capable of writing a simple algorithm with the lowest complexity.
