A Good MNC with No Job Security

Pros

- Healthy and Free Food - No Strict timings - Gifts, bonus, corporate events, good shift allowances...actually its quite a cash rich MNC - Decent increment in GSSi department

Cons

- Amdocs was my 3rd company. I was hired from market for a niche IT Infra technology with decent hike, which was around double digit figure for a 5 years experienced resource. I worked there for about 2.5 years. Majority of my journey in Amdocs was good except the end. As they say "all bad which ends bad". The GSSi department where I worked witnessed some global restructuring. So I along with few others became the Victim of the Restructuring. I was directly pinged by the Director to come to his cabin and was told that from tomorrow I will be assigned to the RMG (Resurce Management Group) and removed from the current project. I have to choose any of the roles available in a month or I will be fired. I WAS SHOCKED!!!! I came from Class A MNC's, given decent hike, good annual increment, good bonus, nice feedback from everyone at Pune office as well as onsite guys at US, never of any escalation. But still they chose me as their target of restructuring. Devastated and depressed I took a role in a Helpdesk Operations profile. Suffered humiliation to a very deep extent while working in 24*7 shifts along with people of no technical exposure. Withing 3 months of stint in that unhealthy environment, I found offer outside. Resigned and got 3 more offers while serving the notice period. In all this Trauma the HR was non-existent. I cannot describe the agony I went through in the last 3 months of my career at Amdocs. - They hire you from outside for specific technologies but make you work on home grown tools which add nothing to your CV. So if you stay here for long, make up your mind to love this company not your Job and get ready to be kicked anytime

False sense of job security. Not paying out the salary during Lockdown to employees, what kind of MNS does this? Worst policies for employees. Don't go by your CTC, variable pay is just another trick to fool employees. They will not even pay you 50% of variable pay. Utter disgusting. Not paying according to industry trends. No new technology stack. Those who are working on old technologies, they are treated like a dumb and invaluable resources. No or negligible promotions No growth. If you wanna know about the meaning of micromanagement, then do join this company. Employees working on internal projects are not human, they were being treated like an animals. They thinks that those who are working on internal project don't get covid infected that's why they used to call them to office during pandemic. Your voices/issues won't be heard anywhere. Freshers are being underpaid. Talented employees do not last here because of 8hrs/day work policies. All those positive feedbacks are just another blunder by clever HR team.

Manila Globe Account: 1. Say goodbye to your Work/Life Balance. 2. Say goodbye to your Family during Christmas, New Year and other holidays as you will need to report onsite (beats the purpose of you having an internet connection at home). It sucks really. 3. Say GOODBYE to your CAREER GOALS and DEVELOPMENT. Say what NEW TECHNOLOGY? LEARNING? NADA. You won't get it here. They won't even invest in you like certifications and classroom training. Oh yes they have online training videos/tutorilas -believe me its CRAP. 4. You thought the company pays you well? Give it sometime to sink in..and you will realize its not even close to how slave you are to them. 5. They maximize people..BURNOUT is HIGH. 6. Your slave job is not an 8am to 5pm schedule. You are ONCALL for 24/7. Day-in and day-out. You will get calls as early as 2AM in the morning. And calls even after your shift. 7. Annual Increase you say? -wow 35 USD and below enough for a 24/7 shift? 8. They ask so much of you to support the account even on a weekend. Thus, you are SPOC for a weekend. BUT BEWARE its not considered OT until someone calls you..how CRAPPY is that considering weekend is supposed to be your family day. Worst thing is if the support call lasted for only 45 minutes..that is still not considered OT on a weekend. 9. ONLY the "YES MAN", "SYCOPHANT", "BROWNNOSE"gets promoted. PERIOD. These department bosses/heads will get ALL the credit from your team's hardwork because they are the ones recognized/reporting to top management. You will literally settle for PENNIES. 10. HR handling is horrible. PERIOD. 11. Only 13th month pay, NO 14th. Bonus is 94 USD -which gets nullified by TAX. 12. So much more WORST things to say..Piece of advice GET OUT OF THIS ACCOUNT.
