Pros

Great Benefits...4 weeks PTO, 5 sick days, 9 holidays/ year. Very good 401k matching and dividends paid. Very good bonus opportunity.

Cons

Highly political, matrixed org. Technological dinosaur. Bell curve performance rating system. A company filled w overachievers and only 10-15% can be top rated. Too many processes, complicated regulatory environment

Pros

Good Pay. Working from home is great. The company sends you everything from computer to phone to headset. They even help with cable bill. Benefits are great.

Cons

You have to hit the floor running once training is over. You have to qualify by meeting all the metrics. The customer survey is like the bible. If you get anything other than a 9 or a 10 rating it hurts your overall score for the month.

co workers are great, American express is a good company but the travel department needs MAJOR REVAMPING.

Cons

management, company policy changes almost every week, front line agents take the wrath for everyone. No advancement opportunities once you have been flagged with counseling forms (write up). Hostile work eniviroment.
