Stressful

Recommend
Business Outlook

Pros

Pay, quarterly incentives, and benefits.

Cons

Extremely stressful High turn over No room for advancement Employees come last No work/life balance Rude customers Quarterly incentives are based on sales, however, a card member can book on the website without a fee and receive discounts we couldn’t offer over the phone. It comes down to begging the card member to book with you instead of saving money. I only stayed as long as I did, because I was able to work from home and I’m a single parent.

Pros

We got to work from home for over a year due to the pandemic. Remote work stations were mailed to us. The vacation time was great.

Cons

When I quit, my bonus from previous year was taken back from my 401k. The management are forced to be micro-managers. My department handled disputes and fraud, but we were constantly given calls from other departments and held to higher call handling standards. It was impossible to stay in great standing. CFR is pushed down everyone's throat, but for a Platinum card that has a fee, it's a shame that workers are negatively impacted when a customer has to call back whether it is related to the prior call or NOT. The breaks are too short. When I quit, I didn't get an exit interview. I was a number and it showed. So many loyal great employees quit because of stress by the company-not the customer/job description. In my position of almost 3 years, there hasn't been NOT one shift bid. I had a terrible schedule from training and I hadn't had the opportunity to change it. I worked double weekends for close to 3 years with young children at home. The benefits were too expensive.

Going downhill fast

Recommend

Pros

Pay- competitive salary and bonus potential, great time off, competitive health insurance and 401k.

Cons

You work for a call center. Extremely micro-managed, you will be treated like you're 5. The worst leadership I have ever experienced- it is toxic. They have created a very 'us against you' structure and you get the impression management looks down upon you. You have ZERO voice. If you speak up or say anything you will pay the price. They say there's no retaliation but that is not true- they will find a way to punish you. Basically, while they look great on paper and have great pay/benefits- it is clear you are 1 of 50,0000 and disposable.
