Pros

Competitive pay and benefits (50th percentile benchmark). It can provide lots of different experience to fill out your resume as things are always changing. Would recommend for a short time employment.

Cons

You won't make a career here in St. Louis. It's difficult to find opportunity here in St. Louis as more work is moving to New York and Brazil (company is run by Brazilians even in US). On paper bonus and benefits look good but once you are here you realize that the "potential" bonus you can achieve each year is fantasy. In the 5 years, I've reached 100% of my targets all but once but have never received a full bonus. This is because bonus is based on company performance too which you have no control over.

Pros

Easy access to top management and big brands attract talent. Good cost cutters...but now pinching pennies and missing dollars. Casual dress code. 2 cases of free beer a month and plenty of schwag. Brito (CEO) consistently named best of the best....by shareholders. Many talented people there striving hard to make a difference.

Cons

Great managers not valued, awful managers not held accountable. Sometimes a meritocracy, but often not...its a very political, very lean, organization where dissent is not tolerated. Commercial (Sales/Marketing) running around in circles - lots of work, little productivity and talent (Global MBAs and Global Management Trainees) fleeing fast...incredible turnover even among the most privileged employees. And if you aren't recruited from a top school into a training program...you're a second class citizen at best. Everyone paid at 80% of market rate, and bonus payout in US usually around 50%, if lucky. Work life balance? Nope. Senior management often heard saying to treat employees like slaves. Awful onboarding (many employees spend two weeks trying to get a computer working and gain access to basic systems) and while some HR is great, others create a culture of fear. Lack of investment in the basic tools needed to do our jobs well.

Pros

- Good atmosphere in lower bands - Flexible working hours - Lenient with lunch break time, other chat or smoke breaks as long as the job is done

Cons

- Not a competitive salary, unfair bonus systems, salary increases upon promotion minimal. - Limited promotion opportunities if you're not a Management Trainee. - Getting a good performance review only possible with numerous unpaid overtime hours - Very, very limited training opportunities (0 live trainings in >1 year employment) - IT heavily unreliable: downtime and slowdown of systems frustrate near all employees and >1h per day is lost. - Not all the tools necessary to do the job well are at your disposal due to cost savings - Continuous outsourcing and downgrading to the cheapest "good enough to continue operations" option - Many employees feel exploited and leave quickly, replaced by a cheap newly grad with reduced salary - High pressure and work load
